When my husband and I moved back to New Zealand from Australia two years ago, we were shocked at the price of rentals in Christchurch. We eventually got a place for $320 per week – the cheapest three-bedroom we could find. It was close to the beach and shops, so we thought it wasn’t a bad little find.
