The road freight industry wants dedicated “truck lanes” in Auckland, claiming road privileges for truckies would boost the economy.
Road Transport Forum chief executive Ken Shirley said it would speed up the distribution of goods such as food and construction materials.
​”Let’s look at the key arterial routes, let’s have a look at the potential for the provision of dedicated freight routes,” he said on Monday.
