New Zealanders should not be “stamped on” for speaking out about things they think need to be changed, says broadcaster Miriama Kamo.
Kamo and and Action Station’s Marianne Elliott discuss the value of protesting and compassion on Tuesday night’s episode of Media Take.
“I think it’s become a little bit embarrassing for people to get out and protest now, and I think that’s a real shame, people that think it’s a hassle to see people going out and protesting,” Kamo said.
“I think it’s a revolution, when somebody actually gets out and and says something isn’t working, and we need to get out and do something about it, whatever that issue is, they shouldn’t be stamped on for it.”
