Reformed inmate Patricia Walsh went to prison six times over her life, and says she was not rehabilitated when she returned to society.
In Tuesday night’s episode of Media Take, Walsh said jail taught her nothing except how to survive while inside.
​”It didn’t prepare me for life on the outside, the restoration of relationships between myself and my whanau, my children – I think it was on my third time in prison my baby was three months old when I left him, so no, the prison system is not a place for rehabilitation.”
