2degrees mobile has made all calls and texts to New Zealand and Australian numbers free for 48 hours, following an update that left many customers in the lurch.
Customers have had trouble topping up, checking their balance, accessing their online account, using the mobile app, and getting in contact with a customer service operator.
On Saturday the mobile service announced free texts and calls until 6am on Monday. They have since extended it until 6am on Tuesday.
