Food giant Mondelez has confirmed some manufacturers have expressed an interest in taking over the New Zealand production of some iconic Cadbury treats.
Mondelez called for expressions of interest for a new or current confectionary company to produce some of the Dunedin-made products, including Pineapple Lumps, Jaffas, Buzz Bars and Pinky Bars.
​Earlier this year, the company announced it would stop manufacturing Cadbury products in Dunedin in March 2018, with the loss of 350 jobs.
