Keen to move forward, Pumpkin Patch workers vote for bank’s preferred liquidator

Former Pumpkin Patch workers have voted in a liquidator for Pumpkin Patch after seeing no other way forward.

In a watershed meeting last week, head office and distribution workers and ANZ bank voted in administrators McGrathNicol to liquidate Pumpkin Patch Limited.

About 150 former Pumpkin Patch head office and distribution workers had voted against ANZ’s preferred liquidator and appealed to the bank to release money needed to pay their redundancy entitlements.

Head office and distribution staff redundancies are capped at $22,160 per employee under the Companies Act 1993. The workers are owed about $2.7 million in total.
