Ostensibly, Dillinger’s celebrates America’s Prohibition era and one of its most famous gangsters, John Dillinger. Except that Dillinger’s is no dry canteen: after 5pm, alcohol goes down the dusty throats of toilers from the CBD, who over the past two months appear to have adopted this bold, brassy establishment as their local.
