An organiser of a rally to protest the proposed closure of Dunedin’s Cadbury factory, says he’s not letting the plant go “without a fight”.
The company’s owner, American food giant Mondelez International, plans to close the factory next year, causing the loss of more than 350 jobs.
A rally organised by the Save Cadbury Community Action Group will be held in Dunedin’s Octagon from 11am on Saturday.
Chairman Don Pryde said the group comprised of concerned locals who wanted to save the factory.
